NATIONWIDE AIRFIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM MODERNIZATION AND EXPANSION PROJECT

OBJECTIVE:
- Standardize the the airfield lighting for all key international airport gateways;
- Ensure regulated visibility for airfield safety, security, and operation;
- Improve and expand airport support capabilities and serviceability;
- Lower electricity consumption and maintenance demands;
- Support carbon reduction program and transition to green technology operation;
SERVICES:
- 8 year, 12 phases implementation, program for 3 separate international airports;
- Research, design, and detailed test a pilot program for evaluation before nationwide rollout;
- Design and engineer sophisticated technical product solutions layered over legacy systems integrating modern technology;
- High pressure construction management under live operation conditions often with truncated and/or variable timeframes;
- Multi-contractor management coordination for overlapping construction missions, MEP retrofits, overhauls, modifications, and site expansion installations;
- Intensive data collection, performance data processing, analysis, and laboratory/institute certifications;
- Secure heavy duty machinery deployment within active aviation operating environments;
IMPACTS:
Through modernized airport infrastructure, operation and services; Cambodia has seen remarkable socio-economic growth with increased air traffic, routes, airlines, cargo freight, and global interaction.
All 3 Cambodian International Airports have successfully completed carbon reduction programs set out by Airports Council International (ACI) a framework introduced in 2009 to reduce greenhouse emissions.
